For those who are looking for a challenge and always wanted to perform a Masacote choreography, Ana & Joel Masacote offer an advanced sectional for an extra fee during the retreat.  Particpants learn a Masacote choreography prior to the retreat and train directly under Ana & Joel during the week. The 2012 Advanced Sectional will be learning Masacote's Classic work Mambo Gallego. Read details below.

Details are as follows:

• Students must audition for the Advanced Sectional prior to the retreat.  There are three forms of selection...
• Approval:  To be considered, participant must send in a video of a prior performance or social dancing.  If participant is believed to have the potential to learn choreography...
• Student must pay a $50 fee for access to instructional videos of the Advanced Sectional Choreography.  Students will receive videos by March 2012.
• Participants will learn choreography and must send in a video demonstrating the choreography in video to Ana & Joel by June 30, 2012.
• Ana & Joel will announce final selections for advanced sectional based on final audition videos on July 1, 2012.
• Should participant be selected, there will be an additional fee of $150 to train during the retreat week.  Ana & Joel Masacote will work with advanced sectional every day to clean choreography, work on technique, and prepare group for performance.
• Advanced sectional will perform Saturday night at the Masacote Boston Social.
• Space is Limited to 5 couples.

How To Audition

• Student must be at a high intermediate to advanced level.  Understanding of on 2 timing is a must.
• Student must have an ability to pick up choreography during a short span of time.
• Partners not required, although we are limited by ratios.

• Email a video link or mail in (address will be provided through email) a DVD of a recent performance.  If none is available, please send a video of social dancing a song on 2.
• Audition Videos must be submitted by April 30th, 2012.
• Initial Assessments will be made as they are received.
• Final Selections will be made by July 1, 2012.
• Advanced Sectional is limited to 5 Women, 5 Men.
